It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Wendy Anne Main, who left us on Monday, December 02, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones in her home in Port Daniel Quebec. Wendy was born and raised in Westmount, Montreal and since we could remember it was a dream of hers to move to Gaspesie. Finally in 2012 she moved with a beautiful view of the ocean by the bay. She was living her dream.
Wendy was the beloved wife of Gary Donald Higgins and the dear daughter of the late Arnold Arthur Main and the late Anne Patricia Denham(Main).
She was a kind hearted, generous and loving woman with a beautiful heart and a gift to make anyone feel comfortable. She leaves behind her three children and their significant others Jason Higgins/Brenda Fitzgerald, Janis Higgins/Keith Garayt and Justin Higgins as well as her seven grandchildren Hope Garayt, Haylee Garayt, Cheyenne Renouf, Amber Garayt, Logan Garayt, Xanna Higgins and Zander Garayt. She has always said that "Children are the rainbow of life and Grandchildren are the pot of gold". She was proud and cherished every one of them.
She also leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters as well as their spouses. The late Karen Main (Walters)/Patrick Walters, Kim Main, The late Daniel Main, April Main, Michael Main, Sharon Main (Small)/Wayne Small, and Shelley Main/Marcel Monette.
She is survived by many that loved her including in laws, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and numerous friends.
Wendy was an endless source of strength and "glue" to our family. She was our heart. Her life, marked by her dedication to her family and her beautiful spirit toward everyone she encountered will remain forever etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She loved her life, her family, and her friends with everything she had.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Salon Funeraire H Thibodeau for their compassionate support given in her final moments.
She was honoured with dignity and respect and we thank you.
We would also like to thank her many caregivers from the CLSC Port Daniel-Gascons.
Lastly we would also like to thank the many heartfelt kind messages, and calls.
Rest in peace, dearest Mom.
