My dear Lois, I am so sorry to hear of Carl’s passing.I sure would have made a great effort to be there.My sympathies to you and your family. Carl was always such a kind man and would always meet you with a smile.May he RIP.

There are few words that do this wonderful man justice. Unrivaled in humbleness, integrity and genuine goodness, Carl was one of the best. We are so fortunate to have known him in our lives as he will forever be remembered in the highest regard. Our most sincere condolences to Lois & family as he will be missed.

Always a welcoming smile when any of us Nadeaus decided to drop in for a quick visit. Also always there to help our parents in times of need. The world is a better place when people as kind as Carl are in it.

Mrs. Hayes, Lorraine and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Hayes. He was one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. I was always happy to have a visit with him when he came to Ottawa to see Nat. He will be missed, but his kindness will be remembered by everyone who was fortunate to have met him.

We dearly loved Uncle Carl, and we will always cherish the countless wonderful memories from childhood days to the last precious visit with him just four days before his passing. Through all the years that we were blessed to know him, he was always so welcoming, kind, caring and loving. He was an amazing gentleman who touch so many lives. His faith in the Lord was strong, and he lived it out in his daily life. We will never forget his warm hugs, twinkling eyes and beautiful smile. Although we can't be with you today, we will be with you in spirit as we pray for the Lord to comfort you and give you strength. Our love to you all.

So sorry for your loss, Carl was such a joy to be around and we always loved our visits while home in the summer, we were all blesssed to have had Carl in our lives, there are lots of good memories to get you through this hard time, he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him !! Condolences to Lois and all her clan. So sorry to hear this news. A helpful neighbor, kind, the foundation of the community. My first contact with Carl when I was loading rock from the bottom of our driveway to place it back on top, using a wheelbarrow. Carl saw this, and came back with a “ front loader” to help me. Telling me that’s why we have here in Shigawake “ heavy equipment. I never forgot that “ good deed “ , a true meaning of neighbor.

We're so sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Carl. He was a very kind and welcoming man. We always enjoyed visiting with him during our trips home. We are glad that we were able to visit with Uncle Carl and Aunt Lois and enjoy their hospitality. God bless him.

I was fortunate enough to be in Mr Hayes presence, but only on several brief occasions ! But I was always amazed at what an industrious, hard working gentleman he was, even at his advanced age ! And I admired his humility and commitment to his community and family ! Shigawake is a very special place on this earth, because of Mr Hayes, his family and the people of Shigawake ! Mr Hayes’ legacy is woven into the fabric of Shigawake !

Like many others, we were saddened to hear of Carl’s passing. He lived life well. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he was a believer in God. He was a people person - warm, caring, kind, modest, genuine, and always interested in others. He loved a good story, and enjoyed laughter. He was a good farmer and no stranger to hard work. Carl was a fine man. Mum and I got to visit with him a couple of months ago, and I’m so glad that we had that visit. He was in good spirits that day. Our heart goes out to all of you as you celebrate his life, pay tribute to him, and say your final goodbyes. We pray that God will strengthen and comfort each one of you at this time. You have a lot of rich memories to cherish. He will always be with each of you in spirit. May God sustain you all during these difficult days.
